SKILLED AND EDUCATION MIGRATION

CDP has observed that some people use the skilled visa policy and the education policy as a means to circumvent the Boarder Protection and the Immigration Policies of Australia and hence a greater scrutiny on applicants seeking citizenship via this means will be put into place.

Policy:

• Skilled temporary visas entitle the applicant to come to Australia within the strict conditions of their visa, but it cannot be a stepping stone to staying indefinitely in Australia.
• Education visas entitle the applicant to come to Australia for study purposes and it may contain some employment conditions as well.
• The alteration of a visa may not happen within Australia unless the alteration is of a minor nature
