Sanctity of Life

We believe as we examine pure logic and the complexity of the human body, as well as the intricit nature of dependence upon each component of the human body that there is a Creator of all things; as a result we consider all life from conception to death is sanctified by the Creator and must be protected at all times.

Some claim that life only begins at birth yet it seems to defy logic that life in a womb is to be considered as non-life just because of its geographical environment, and we will strongly claim that life exists in the womb to the same extent as to outside the womb, with the only difference that the life in the womb is dependent upon the health of the mother who is caring the baby in the womb.

There are still others who make claims of life slowly beginning beyond the womb but only considered as being as life in itself at some point beyond the womb – this is considered to be irrational by us as it is just a conjectured opinion that is as flexible as those who hold these ideas.

As a result we cannot support abortions at all!

Discussion of the subject of abortion must take into consideration many diverse aspects and especially the woman who finds herself pregnant and she has strong issues about the difficulties of allowing the baby to grow and develop within her due to the many complicated circumstances that the mother to be is involved in her life at the time to get to our prefered pathway from where she is at the time to where we would desire her to be. We would never want to criminalise a woman unnecessarly, therefore we have developed a strong policy of support for the mother to be at, to some, what is a difficult time. Any policy that would criminalize an expectant mother, for seeking an abortion is cruel and inhumanr – we are not that.

Options of support!

In the first instance the attending doctor or medical officer confirming the pregnancy will try to discover the relevant concerns that the expectant mother has and to refer her to agencies that we will establish to render the relevant support. While not including all issues here: there will be concerns due to an unwanted sexual event, some will be because of an unstable domestic situation, some will be of financial concerns, some will be of health concerns as well as other concerns. trained counselors will lead the person through support as required to protect both the life of the mother and the growing baby within her. if it is concluded that the child, when born will need different parents to care for the child we recommend that adoption not take place for some time after the birth as there are potentially significant separation issues that will need to be addressed before the adoption is finalized, some during this process may choose to retain the child as issues settle down and this would always be the preferred option as far as we are concerned.

Pathway from where we are to where we want to be

In our world today where abortion on demand is very common, we must consider what we will do to get to where we believe we should be in all good conscience; so we will support any change proposed that will wind back abortions from where it is today towards where we would like it to be -EVERY LIFE SAVED IS A BONUS! The defunding of abortions would be supported, greater funding for vulnerable pregnancies would be supported. Criminalization of an assault on a pregnant woman that harms the unborn child whether the assailant knows or does not know of the pregnancy would be supported. The decision of a doctor as to which life would be saved in a trauma situation is in his hand and hence not a criminal act if the danger was real at the time of the presentation in the emergency situation. Doctor’s will be asked to confirm the oath to do all things possible to preserve all life as far as is medically possible.

The Last Step!

Criminal charges will be possible if there is a deliberate decision to terminate the life of the unborn child with out a lawful excuse and the only lawful excuse is when both the life of the mother and the child were at stake and the likellihood of both surviving was considered not possible!

Euthanasia

It has become common practice to have end of life decisions and so we have allowed the terminating of life when one seeks assistance to end their life. If life was not something that is important then why not; but we say all life is important and so we maintain that euthanisia should not be permitted at all. As the medical staff who often perform this procdure have taken an oath to preserve life and not to destroy it. We have good and wholesome palliative care that should be able to make the last days of an ill person comfortable, and that should be the standard process at the end of life.

We will support any policy that commences the winding back of the euthanasia laws including defunding any medical proceedure that will bring a life to an early conclusion. However we are fully supportive of any drug thearaphy that grants comfort in the last days of one’s life.
