Newcastle Container Terminal:
There is always access issues in relation to container terminals and wherever possible then the containers need to be transported by rail to keep trucks off our roads in the city areas. The Government has been talking about a freight rail bypass of Newcastle for many years; so, this is the time to actually stop the talk and start the building of the efficient rail options to transport our container freight by rail to and from the Port of Newcastle. The Christians for Community have solid plans to even find a way to get the trucks of the roads around Port Botany container terminal; this is the forward thinking that has been lacking in NSW for a very long time.
